On behalf of the Prince of the Eastern Province, The Chairman of Asharqia Chamber opens the first edition of the production of the "Sanaati Khafji 2019"
On Saturday evening, April 13, 2019, on behalf of His Highness the Amir of the Eastern Region His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Asharqia Chamber, Abdul Hakim bin Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khalidi, opened the first edition of the productive family exhibition (Sanaati Khafji 2019), which is organized by Asharqia Chamber under the patronage of His Highness the Emir of the region and in the presence of the governor of the province of Khafji Mohammed bin Sultan al-Hazza, the Secretary General of the Chamber Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Wabil and a remarkable number of businessmen in the province.
The exhibition was attended by the mayor of Khafji Mohammed Hamidani and the Chairman of the Business Council in the Chamber of Khafji province, Hussein Al-Anzi.
The exhibition, which runs until Tuesday, April 16, presented about 50 families of Khafji Governorate who are exhibiting various handicrafts and food items, as well as perfumes and decorative works.
A strategic choice
On the sidelines of the opening of the exhibition, Al-Khalidi said that Asharqia Chamber launches in support of productive families of a strategy of strength, "The work of productive familiess represents a strategic option within the Vision options of the Kingdom of 2030."
This prompted the Chamber to move towards expanding the circle of beneficiaries of the initiative of the productive family exhibition "Sanaati" that started in 2015 and continues until now.
He pointed out that the exhibition represents a major marketing outlet for the work of productive families from the people of the province of Khafji who today offer commendable works.
He pointed out that the productive families' projects limit the need of these families and turn them from the families of recipients of subsidies to productive families, as well as their role in rooting the national heritage.
National Economy System
Al-Khalidi pointed out that the Chamber since the adoption of the exhibition "Sanaati" aims to develop the culture of productive families with the importance of their work as that they can be an integral part of the national economy system if they follow the bases and rules necessary to complete their career in self-employment.
He stressed the continuity of the Chamber in the launch of initiatives and the establishment of events of interest to the productive families of what can be represented in the national economy.
He pointed out that it occupies an advanced position in the economies of many countries in the world, and that the Kingdom has the necessary ingredients to make productive families as a significant figure in the national economy.
A multipurpose economic component
For his part, the Secretary General of Asharqia Chamber, Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Wabel, said that the Chamber has always been a pioneer by adopting initiatives and seeking to provide more for the benefit of society, "being part of the society in which you live."
It is its responsibility to contribute to its development and raise its level of service to serve the benevolent country.
He pointed out that the Khafji exhibition is a continuation of the importance that Asharqia Chamber attaches to productive families as a multi-benefit economic component.
This is indicating the extent to which the sector can contribute to the development of the economy, stimulate the process of production and marketing, provide employment opportunities for the segments of society.
Training Support
Al-Wabel explained that the exhibition of the year will be attended by 50 productive families who received excellent training support from the Social Responsibility Center in the Chamber in preparation for the exhibition.
He pointed out that participating families will be given the opportunity to meet directly with the visitors' audience.
He pointed out that each family participating will have their own business card that includes communication numbers, which will be distributed to visitors, as well as a marketing guide that includes all participating families to help market their products.
It opens the door to the continued marketing of products of participating families and products throughout the year without relying on the exhibition only.
It woul be easier to guide the public after the expiry of the exhibition to communicate with the families producing their products.
Al Wabil expressed his hope that the exhibition of this year will be successful and achieve the goal of effective participation by the participating productive families.
It embodies tangible support for these families and their contribution to the development of their activities and the marketing of their products.
He called on citizens and residents in the province of Khafji to visit the exhibition and enjoy the products offered by the families produced at the entrance.
